& again

the year turns, and turns again, and again. we expand, swell within our skin, and collapse, grow smaller, turn inward. I have recognized this pattern within myself, and I smile upon it with acceptance. it’s autumn again. we’ve been busy at the shop, folks coming and going. locals, mostly, and this is a special and new kind of comfort. summer has settled into the belly of seeds and the leaves have begun to kick up underneath sneakers. we are here, happy, warm, still moving forward, turning the wheel, again, and again, and again.
